The pool area is beautiful.and doesn't seem to get used often. My only suggestion is that they increase the number of bicycles. The Ascott has an excellent fitness center. Once we arrived for breakfast we were told the kitchen will start to prepare her breakfast.and each day it was something different. The kitchen quickly whipped up something special for.and the next 11 mornings also! We didn't even have to ask. On our first visit to the restaurant for breakfast, these dietary needs were described to the manager. My wife has a couple of special dietary needs. You can tell management cares about customer service as memorable customer service doesn't happen by accident. In our travels I've never experienced so many eager hospitality employees that are constantly trying to anticipate their guest's needs.

What makes the Ascott special are its employees that live to serve the hotels guests. All of the above can be found in all kinds of hotels. The bathroom was huge! The shower area was spacious and had excellent water pressure. Our sleeping room had a comfortable king size bed. Our accommodations had a living /dining room, a kitchen area that also had a washer/dryer. My wife was on a work assignment and I was lucky enough to join her. My wife and I stayed at the Ascott for 12 nights. Also my bf is Caucasian so he got treated like VIP but nobody helped me or greeted me. Maybe because they felt guilty? Management needs to work on their reservation process because it's so disorderly. Surprisingly though upon returning to Ascott, they upgraded our room. Before leaving tho we asked a different front desk person if there's an available room, and there was! But it was already too late for us to cancel our booking at Conrad. We decided to book in Conrad for one night and then come back to Ascott for the duration of our stay in Manila because we liked staying in BGC. There was one day in between our stay that wasn't free, so we asked front desk if there's any room left they said only the 3 door suite was free which is too big (we're just two people). So we booked via Agoda (which we found so odd). Then we wanted to extend our stay, front desk informed us that there weren't any executive rooms available but to try booking via Agoda. I was passed on from so many people, they kept asking the same things so had to repeat myself several times. Booking via your reservations was such a hassle.
